Kosciuszko National Park

Winter peak (Alpine Way, Kosciuszko Rd and Link Road) From the start of June long weekend to end of October long weekend: $29 per vehicle per day (24hrs); motorcycles $12; bus passengers $11.45 per adult, $3.60 per child per day (24hrs).

Rest of the year (Alpine Way and Kosciuszko Road only) $17 per vehicle per day (24hrs); motorcycles $7; bus passengers $6.60 per adult, $2.20 per child per day (24hrs).

Thredbo Scenic Chairlift Rides [all year]

The scenic chairlift is a must-do during summer or winter. The Kosciuszko Express takes 15 minutes one way and rises 560 vertical metres, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains of the Kosciuszko National Park and the stunning Thredbo Valley. At the top treat yourself to breakfast or lunch with a view at Eagles Nest, Australia’s highest restaurant. The scenic chairlift is also the easiest way to access Thredbo’s extensive alpine hiking tracks including the walkway to Mt Kosciuszko Summit. Thredbo Disc Golf

Looking for a fun activity during your stay? Head over to the Thredbo Golf Course for a family-friendly game of disc golf.

Thredbo’s disc golf course features 18 holes nestled between bushland, open fields and eucalypts and is surrounded by stunning mountain views. Disc golf is fun for all ages and abilities and is played much like traditional golf but, instead of a ball and clubs, players use a flying disc. The object is to complete each hole in the fewest number of throws.

Thredbo Bobsled

Enjoy the family-friendly 700m Alpine Bobsled track as it twists and turns its way down the mountain whilst you control the speed with a brake on your sled. Thredbo’s Alpine Bobsled track is located just a short distance from Valley Terminal along the Merritts Nature Track. To ride the Alpine Bobsled on your own you must be 9 years of age or older and over 130cms tall. For the kids under 9, you double up with a responsible adult.

Thredbo Golf Course

Play a round of golf on Australia’s highest golf course. Thredbo’s 9 hole course runs alongside the Thredbo River and around the base of the mountain, offering outstanding playing conditions and beautiful views. Dotted with wildflowers and lined with eucalyptus, it has a little bit of everything, providing even seasoned golfers with unique challenges such as the Snake Pit and Wally Wombat’s House.

The course is home to 1 x Par 5 holes, 4 x Par 4 holes and 4 x Par 3 holes.

Lake Jindabyne

Visit Lake Jindabyne while you are here. There is a great walkway stretching almost 5klm around the shoreline commencing in Banjo Patterson Park near the Strzelecki Monument and hugging the shoreline. From the pathway, you will see the remains of the old Jindabyne township which was moved to its current location in the 1960’s. There are sculptures along the pathway that were bought by Council from the Easter Lake Light Sculpture event.

Hire a boat or sailboat. Take a swim in summer with the waters from the high mountains streams feeding the Lake.

Rock Climbing with K7 Adventures

Rock climbing is fun, satisfying and everyone can have a go! For a family and a group of friends, it can be the highlight of your holiday. Our job is to ensure that you have lots of fun in a safe environment. We can take you on a half-day, an ‘easy’ day (a bit more than a half-day) or a full day climbing & abseiling. Eucumbene Trout Farm

Eucumbene trout farm offers different levels of catching a fish. From their ‘sure catch tank‘ to lake fishing in their man-made ponds. You can only use their equipment and there is no catch & release here! The Trout Farm is located 40 minutes drive from Jindabyne.

Jindabyne Disc Golf

Jindabyne Disc Golf was installed in August 2014 with 9 holes. It was upgraded to 18 holes in June 2015.

It is the brainchild of Winter Olympian Scott Kneller and his brother Luke who run the Rob Kneller Foundation, a community group supporting the youth of Jindabyne.

The tees are marked by signs at each hole. You can rent discs from the Rip Curl shop in Nuggets Crossing for $10 per day
